The November English Language and Maths papers run from 3 to 9 November 2026 for AQA and Pearson Edexcel. Confirm your timetable with your exam centre, and ask us about current tutoring availability.
This is usually not optional
In England, students who did not achieve a grade 4 in GCSE English Language or Maths must continue studying those subjects as a condition of post-16 funding. Resitting is the route most colleges and sixth forms will expect.
November is the earliest second chance
English Language and Maths are the two subjects with a November series. The next opportunity after that is the summer 2027 series.

Availability and the useful number of lessons depend on the subject, exam board and time remaining. We will confirm the proposed tutor, schedule and price before you decide.

Questions parents actually ask
How does it work?
You send the form. We reply to arrange a free assessment lesson, which we use to find where the marks are being lost. If you want to go ahead, we agree a schedule for the time remaining. There is no contract and you can cancel any week.
Who actually teaches the sessions?
A subject specialist matched to the student. Every Bloom tutor holds a degree in the subject they teach, a current police clearance certificate, and years of teaching experience. We will tell you who the tutor is before the assessment lesson, not after.
What if it is not a fit?
The assessment lesson is free and there is no obligation after it. If you start and it is not working, you can stop at the end of any week. We would rather you said so early than sat through weeks that are not helping.
Can you guarantee a grade 4?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we can do is target the specific marks the student is losing and make sure they walk in having practised the real paper under real timing.
Do you handle the exam entry?
No, entries are made through a school, college or registered exam centre, and we are not one. If the student is still at a school or college, speak to their exams officer now. If they have already left, they will need a centre that accepts private candidates; ask us and we will help you work out what to look for. We would rather say this plainly than have you assume we have handled it.
